I’ve been working a lot with crochet thread and have made this quick stash busting dish towel holder pattern.

You can make a dishcloth to go in your holder by going to Free Pattern – 10×10” Crochet Dishcloth
Materials
- I used Aunt Lydia’s Crochet Thread In Parakeet
- 2.5 mm crochet hook from my BeCraftee Crochet Hook Set
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
- 2 cm width button in contrasting or complementary colour
Skills and Abbreviations
- Magic Loop
- Ch: chain
- Sc: single crochet
- Hdc: half double crochet
- Sl: slip stitch
Pattern
Magic loop and Ch1.
- Hdc 56 into the magic loop and join round with Sl
- Ch 1 and Hdc 56. SL to join round, Ch 1 and turn
- Hdc 15, Ch 1 and turn – repeat another 2 additional rows
- Hdc 7, Ch 1 miss next stitch, Hdc 7, Ch 1 and turn
- Hdc 15, Ch 1 and turn – repeat another 12 times or until the piece is just short of being long enough
- Sc 15, Ch 1 and turn – repeat 6 times until piece is now long enough to wrap around its hanging place with a little to spare
- Sc all the way around your piece making sure that the stitches are spaced evenly
Finishing
Fold your piece over and mark where you need to place the button and the sew that in place using a complementary or matching thread.
The last thing you need to do is weave in those pesky ends and then finally place your holder in its designated place.
