Baby season seems like it’s always here, or as it’s known in my office “Oh, another one came along” (we have a lot of Mummies). Come the Summer time though you’ll be seeing all those fresh cheeked babies out in their strollers with their parents and they’ll be needing a little something to keep them comfortable: enter the Moss Block Baby Blanket.
This is an introduction to combining your basic knit and purl stitches, slip stitches, plus an easy crotchet edge as well.
Tools & Materials
The best type of wool for a baby blanket will be an acrylic based one as it will be able to stand the test of time and will be happy going through the was a few times as well. However, if you would like to use a wool based yarn that is absolutely fine to do so, simply follow the care instructions outline by the manufacturer.
Needles & Hooks
For the knitting needles I prefer to use circular 4.00 mm needles rather than straight, however you can certainly use straights to complete this project.
As for the crochet hook you can use any 4.00 mm or G hook that you like. I prefer to use the ones with the ergonomic handles for an easier grip.
