The Rice Stitch is a wonderful addition to any knitter’s catalog and easy to get the hang of too. To complete this pattern you will ideally be an advanced beginner - intermediate skilled knitter as you will be required to be comfortable knitting in the round and know how to do the knit 1 below stitch variation. I do include extra support for both of these techniques just in case you would like it.

*SIZING*

This pattern is very simple to learn and can be adapted to any size: kids, ladies and mens size. You can also make the base (where you begin in the pattern) much longer to convert them into super comfy arm warmers too.

*SKILL REQUIREMENTS*

Skills Needed:

- Knit

- Purl

- Increase

- Basic sewing

- Working in the round

- Binding Off

Supplies:

- 4.5 mm circular or DPN needles

- Worsted weight yarn or a UK Chunky yarn which gets you a gauge of 5 stitches and 7 rows per inch.

- Yardage: 98 - 120 yards (90 - 110 m), 60 grams for both mittens.

*PATTERN FAQ*

- Where are the instructions for the left hand glove? There isn’t, each glove is made the same way as the can be worn on either hand once made. This makes them a great pattern for beginner
